What 𗢂 means
It is glossed as “pit” or “hollow.”
Li Fanwen’s 1997 index lists this as entry 2848 (LFW 2848), glossed with Chinese 坎. Scholars reconstruct its Tangut reading as dzjị, roughly a voiced d flowing into z, then a brief y glide and “ee.”
Tangut, also called Xixia, is a separate script from Chinese characters, despite their similar square look. The Western Xia state created it about 1036; it remained in use under the Yuan and Ming dynasties, including Buddhist inscriptions on Baoding pillars dated 1502.
It signals a Tangut or historical-text context.
A blank box means the font lacks Tangut support; the text value is unchanged.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗢂 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
