What 𗢒 means
It is Tangut, a separate script from Chinese.
Its intricate square strokes can resemble Chinese writing, but Tangut was a separate script developed for the Western Xia state. The state introduced it in 1036 for official and cultural writing, including records and translations of major texts.
Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary lists 𗢒 as entry 3076, with the gloss “horse disease,” an illness affecting horses. Tangut writing continued beyond the Western Xia state: the latest datable examples are Buddhist stone pillars bearing dhāraṇī (sacred formulas), dated 1502.
A historical Tangut word for a horse illness; it fits Tangut texts, dictionaries, or script history.
Without a Tangut-capable font, the glyph may appear as an empty box.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗢒 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
