What 𗩀 means
A Tangut character glossed as “a kind of bird.”
Tangut was the language of the medieval Western Xia kingdom in northern China. Its script was created in 1036 under ruler Li Yuanhao for state-building and Buddhist texts. Chinese writing influenced its design, but Tangut is distinct.
Law texts and translated Chinese classics survive in Tangut. As of 2025, the latest datable materials known are two Buddhist pillars with Tangut inscriptions at Baoding, erected in 1502.

1Why does 𗩀 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
