What 𗬂 means
𗬂 is a character in the Tangut script.
The Xixia writing system, also called Tangut, was designed to write the Tangut language. It served government correspondence and Buddhist translations; surviving texts also preserve Chinese, Tibetan, and other learned works. After Tangut passed out of everyday use, manuscripts carried it into later scholarship. As of 2026, specialized input tools and fonts also support working with the script.
Unicode's number-based label identifies the encoded character; it is not a translation or pronunciation guide. Tangut writing drew visual ideas from Chinese characters but represented a different language. Khitan states in the region developed separate scripts during the same broader period; these are script-level historical connections, not relationships to this exact character.
How do I type 𗬂?
Use a Tangut input method with its dictionary loaded. Specialized tools let you look up characters by radicals (written components), four-corner codes, Xuanpin, or Tangut Cangjie. These schemes locate characters; they do not translate them.
Why does 𗬂 show as a box?
Your font or app may not include Tangut glyphs. On a phone or computer, a blank or box usually means the selected font or app cannot draw the character. The text can remain the same Unicode character even when it cannot be displayed; a Tangut-capable font can show it, with the style varying by font.

1Why does 𗬂 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
