What 𗬪 means
One dictionary gloss is “bright.” Tangut was the language of the Western Xia state. Its introduction is dated to 1036; the earliest surviving document is a state order from 1072. The court used it for government records and Buddhist translations. Tangut writing has Chinese influence but remains a separate script; nearby Khitan and later Jurchen rulers also created scripts for their languages. After the Mongol conquest in the 13th century, Tangut eventually left everyday use.
Someone sent me 𗬪—what does it mean?
Read it as text, not as a ready-made reaction. Its “bright” gloss does not tell you why someone used it; ask for surrounding words before reading it as praise.
Why is 𗬪 a box on my screen?
The font may not include Tangut characters. Try a Tangut-capable font; a box or blank means the font lacks 𗬪.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗬪 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
