What 𗬫 means
A Tangut text or lexicon is needed to identify its word. “Tangut Ideograph-17B2B” is a catalog label, not a translation or pronunciation. It identifies one encoded sign; it does not say which Tangut word the sign represents.
During the Western Xia period, the court established this distinct script by decree for writing Tangut. It drew on Chinese writing but remained a separate script that Chinese readers could not simply read. Tangut writing served Buddhist texts, education, manuscripts, printing, and translations of Chinese works; use continued into the Yuan and Ming periods after Western Xia fell. These are uses of the script as a whole, not a gloss for 𗬫.
Why does 𗬫 look different?
A font may draw it differently or leave it blank. A font without Tangut support can show a blank box or a substitute shape. That is a display issue, not a change to the encoded character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗬫 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
