What 𗭜 means
Its dictionary gloss is Chinese 灣: “bay” or “river bend.”
Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao commissioned a national Tangut script in 1036–37 for state records and to mark Tangut identity; the earliest surviving document is a state dispatch to a military official from 1072. Tangut writers acknowledged shared roots with Chinese writing. An earlier script used by the neighboring Khitan people may also have influenced it, but a direct derivation is not established. After the Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued in mostly Buddhist texts under Yuan rule. If someone sends 𗭜 alone, the dictionary gives you the waterway word, but not whether they mean a coastal inlet or a river bend.

1Why does 𗭜 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
