What 𗭴 means
It writes the Yang family name in Tangut. The Golden Guide, a Tangut list of Chinese surnames, pairs it with the Chinese surname 杨. A Khara-Khoto household register uses it in the name of a woman surnamed Yang; “widow” is her recorded status, not the character’s meaning.
Tangut writing was created in 1036 for state-building and Buddhist use. The earliest transmitted Tangut document dates to 1072. Writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; a 1502 inscription is among the later surviving examples. Its design drew on Khitan script models and Chinese writing principles.
If 𗭴 appears as a box, the Tangut font may lack support for these characters. A Tangut-capable font is needed to display it.

1Why does 𗭴 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
