What 𗭶 means
The Unicode label identifies the character; it does not translate it.
𗭶 belongs to the Tangut script. Its Unicode label is an identifier, not a reading or dictionary gloss; a Tangut dictionary and the surrounding text help establish what word it represents.
Created in 1036 for the Western Xia state, Tangut script served government writing, Buddhist works, and translations of Chinese classics. A Tangut manuscript from Khara-Khoto probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century; finds there include both Buddhist and secular writing.
How do I type 𗭶?
A Tangut input method is the practical keyboard route.
A stroke-code layout lets you enter Tangut ideographs by their strokes. A separate phonetic layout depends on reconstructed Tangut readings, so it helps only if you know this character’s reading and your setup includes that method.
Is 𗭶 a Chinese character?
No; Tangut and Chinese are separate writing systems.
Tangut drew on Chinese writing in appearance and character-building, but it was not derived from Chinese. Earlier Khitan script-making had already taken place in the region. These are script-history connections; they do not establish a Chinese equivalent or reading for 𗭶.
Specialist and archival; alone in casual chat, 𗭶 reads as Tangut text without a clear everyday message.
Without a Tangut reading or context, do not treat 𗭶 as a translated message.
Drift: As of 2026, Tangut appears chiefly in scholarship, manuscript preservation, and digital reference tools; that setting supplies no standard chat meaning for 𗭶.
