What 𗭼 means
The recorded sense is “bright.”
A Tangut reference manuscript dated 1188 records the scholarly reading 1swew₁ and the meaning “bright.”
Tangut writing was created about 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor for state-building, Buddhist translation, and a distinct Tangut identity. It later carried Chinese translations and religious texts. Its methods drew on Chinese writing, but Tangut remained a separate script.
This historical Tangut character suits archival texts and study, rather than ordinary modern writing.
The number in its Unicode label identifies the character; it does not give its meaning.
