What 𗯐 means

The gloss is “trade.” Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut-Chinese dictionary gives this entry that sense. Tangut writing drew on Chinese forms but remained a distinct script; it developed alongside Khitan writing, another writing system of the region.

Tangut writing entered use in 1036 for Western Xia state-building, including Buddhist translation, official writing, and secular texts.

Whether the Tangut strokes display depends on your font’s coverage.

Why does 𗯐 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
