What 𗰉 means
Its label identifies the character; it does not translate it. Read 𗰉 in a Tangut dictionary or its sentence context.
Created around 1036 under a Western Xia emperor, Tangut wrote the now-extinct Tangut language. The script served government, literature, Buddhist texts, manuscripts, and inscriptions, then fell out of use around 1502.
Tangut can resemble Chinese writing, but it is a separate script for a different language. The two cannot be read interchangeably.
