What 𗱀 means
It names a natural source of water.
Li Fanwen’s dictionary lists it as entry 1228; “Tangut character 17C40” is an encoding label, not a translation.
Under a Western Xia emperor, Tangut was created around 1036 for official and cultural writing, including translations of Chinese and Tibetan works. It remained in use after the dynasty fell and became obsolete by the end of the Ming period. Tangut characters resemble Chinese ideographs but form a separate script. Its breakdown puts 𘢷 on the left and 𘦳 on the right. Without a Tangut-supporting font, 𗱀 may appear as a box.
Historical and scholarly; out of place in ordinary messages.
Tangut is a separate script, not modern Chinese.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗱀 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
