What 𗲰 means
Li Fanwen’s 2008 dictionary glosses it as “to rub.”
Tangut was the state script of Western Xia (Xixia), created around 1036 for official records and translation. It was also used in Buddhist, legal, and secular texts. The earliest transmitted document dates to 1072; a later inscription dates to 1502.
What does it mean when someone sends 𗲰?
It identifies a Tangut character, but it doesn’t reveal the sender’s intent.
Historical writing, not casual chat shorthand.
A dictionary gloss does not tell you why someone sent the character.
