What 𗳳 means
It is a Tangut verb: “to pad.”
Tangut was the language of Western Xia (Xixia), a state in northwest China. Its court established the script around 1036 for correspondence; in 1038 it formed a committee to translate Buddhist texts. Tangut writing appears in official, private, and religious works, and remained in use during China’s Yuan and Ming dynasties before becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. Its forms resemble Chinese writing, but the scripts are unrelated.
What if someone sends 𗳳?
Treat it as written text, not a chat reaction.
One glyph cannot reveal why it was sent; ask for the surrounding Tangut text.
Why is 𗳳 a box on my screen?
Your font may lack Tangut coverage.
A box marks a missing glyph. Choose a font that supports Tangut.

1Why does 𗳳 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
