What 𗳸 means
Tangut input methods offer several lookup routes.
Xunpin, a Tangut input method for the Rime framework, offers phonetic, stroke, and four-corner lookup; the last uses shapes at a character's corners. Its phonetic spelling depends on the pronunciation reconstruction, and each method needs its own keyboard setup.
Without a Tangut-capable font, the character can appear as an empty box.
What does 𗳸 mean in a Tangut text?
Its word sense comes from its place in a Tangut passage.
A Tangut dictionary published in 2008 records a reconstructed pronunciation for 𗳸. That is evidence about its sound, not a translation. Its technical Unicode label identifies the script and code number; it does not supply an English gloss.
Tangut writing took shape as a Western Xia (Xixia) state project around 1036. It served the Tangut language in schools, government, diplomacy, and Buddhist printing; religious texts continued using it after the state fell.
The 12th-century Sea of Characters, an early Tangut reference work, analyzed characters through components. A character-structure record places 𘣁 on the left and 𘦳 on the right of 𗳸; those parts describe how it is written, not a fixed translation.
Historical and scholarly in context; opaque as an isolated message.
Do not substitute 𗳺; it is another Tangut character.
