What 𗴌 means
Li Fanwen’s dictionary gives 𗴌 entry 4443 and glosses it as “that.” Its full use depends on the surrounding Tangut sentence.
Tangut writing took shape around 1036 under Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao. It helped distinguish the state from Song China and was used for a Buddhist canon, a collection of Buddhist texts. It drew on Chinese and Khitan models but became a distinct script. A manuscript from Khara-khoto’s ruins, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, preserves Tangut translations of Chinese and Tibetan works. Tangut remained in use into the Yuan and Ming dynasties. Unicode treats some Tangut shape variants as one character when they do not change meaning, so fonts may draw that character differently.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗴌 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
