What 𗶥 means

It means “to collapse” in historical Tangut.

This character has a reading reconstructed by scholars as kêɯ. The Tangut script served Western Xia laws and official records, as well as Buddhist works translated from Chinese and Tibetan.

Tangut is a separate script whose design drew on Chinese and Khitan writing systems. A box can appear when the device or browser lacks a Tangut font.

Questions people ask

1

Why does 𗶥 show as a box on some devices?

Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
