What 𗹖 means
It is a Tangut character glossed as “skilful.”
That English gloss comes from a Tangut dictionary; it is not a Chinese translation. Tangut was a distinct writing system used by the Western Xia (Xixia) state, and 𗹖 is text rather than emoji artwork.
Why was Tangut writing made?
It served Western Xia’s state and culture.
Tangut writing emerged around 1036–1037. It remained in use after Western Xia fell; surviving legal records, Buddhist translations, sutras, and manuscripts show its roles. The latest known inscription is dated 1502.
Chinese and Khitan writing influenced its design, but Tangut developed as a distinct script.
Historical and scholarly in tone; it signals Tangut text rather than a casual reaction.
Don't read it as a standard emoji reaction.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗹖 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
