What 𗼞 means
It means “government” or “political office.” Tangut was the script used for the Tangut language; kow is a Latin-letter transcription of 𗼞.
On a tax receipt for extra hay dated 1225, 𗼞 marked the government copy; the household receipt bore 𘗠.
The Tangut script was created around 1036 for state-building and Buddhist publishing. It later served Buddhist, secular, and administrative writing through the Yuan and Ming. Its Chinese-style structure followed the Khitan script, another regional writing system; the scripts are distinct.
Formal and administrative in its documented tax-record setting.
Chinese-style structure does not make it Chinese; 𗼞 is Tangut.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
