What 𗼤 means
Tangut dictionaries gloss it as “flourishing” or “prosperous.”
Emperor Li Yuanhao ordered Tangut writing in 1036 for Western Xia and its Buddhist canon, a collection of Buddhist scriptures. Tangut texts include Buddhist and legal works and translations from Chinese. A Khara-Khoto manuscript, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, shows that range. Writing continued through 1502. Its forms drew on Chinese and Khitan writing, but Tangut remained a separate script.
A standalone 𗼤 points to Tangut writing or historical texts.
Chinese 旺 is a dictionary gloss, not a substitute for 𗼤.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗼤 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
