What 𗿔 means
It is glossed “name of a star” in Tangut.
The gloss alone identifies neither a particular star nor a complete statement; the surrounding Tangut text supplies its function.
The Tangut state (Western Xia, or Xixia) commissioned the script in 1036 for state-building, including Buddhist-canon work. It followed the Khitan model of giving a state its own script and drew on Chinese Han writing. Khara-khoto manuscripts preserve Buddhist and Chinese-translated texts; one likely dates to the 12th or early 13th century.
Historical and specialist; its star gloss needs Tangut context.
The gloss alone cannot identify the star.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗿔 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
