What 𗿘 means

Tangut dictionaries gloss 𗿘 as “a kind of bird.” Sea of Writing, a Tangut rhyme dictionary, indexes it at 39.121. Western Xia developed the script in 1036 for government, Buddhist translation, and a distinct identity beside Song China. Its characters resemble Chinese but write the Tangut language; neighboring Khitan states also created native scripts. A manuscript from Khara-Khoto, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, shows later use, not this character’s first appearance. Tangut writing continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties.

Why does 𗿘 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
