What 𗿿 means
It describes putting a foot down on something. A Tangut dictionary gives that gloss, and a tax-record phrase preserves the word.
Created around 1036 to write Tangut, the language of the Western Xia state in northwest China, the script later served government and Buddhist texts into the Yuan and Ming periods; it was obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
