What 𘇘 means
It is a Tangut character glossed as “string.”
The XHZD Tangut dictionary gives it the gloss “string” under L1622; a Tangut text index cross-references it as entry #1648. Its reconstructed reading, ren, is a scholarly pronunciation guide.
The Tangut script was created in 1036 under Western Xia ruler Li Yuanhao for state use and Buddhist-canon work. Its characters drew on Chinese character structure, while the neighboring Khitan script offered an earlier model for creating a state writing system. A manuscript from the 12th century at Khara-Khoto preserves Tangut translations of Chinese secular texts alongside Buddhist works.
