What 𘊉 means
It is a Tangut-script character, not a translated message by itself. Its Unicode label is an inventory name. A Tangut dictionary index records a reconstructed scholarly reading, written bjɨ in Latin letters; this is a proposed sound, not a word meaning you can infer from the glyph.
Where did Tangut writing come from?
It was developed for the Western Xia state, also called Xixia. The Tangut script was introduced in 1036 under Emperor Li Yuanhao for government work and Buddhist translation. Its rulers followed an earlier example of a state-backed Khitan script. The forms drew on Chinese writing, but Tangut was a separate system for the Tangut language.
The script served government, schools, law, translated Buddhist scriptures, and other books. After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued beyond the dynasty; an inscription dated 1502 is among the latest known examples.
Why does 𘊉 show as a box?
The font may not include a Tangut design. A blank space or missing-glyph box points to font coverage. It does not mean the text has changed into another character.
Use it in historical, linguistic, or typography contexts; outside them, its reading is not self-evident.
The Unicode label is an inventory name, not the character’s meaning.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘊉 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
