What 𘎽 means

The dictionary gloss is “to abandon,” not a full sentence.

The Tangut entry 5671 in Li Fanwen’s 2008 English index is assigned to 𘎽 and glossed “to abandon.”

The Tangut script was created under the first Western Xia emperor about 1036 to write Tangut, a language spoken in what is now northwestern China. Its square characters resemble Chinese writing but represent a different language. Tangut writing continued under the Yuan and Ming, became obsolete by the end of the Ming, and was rediscovered by scholars in the late 19th century.

Historical and specialist; in general writing, provide its Tangut context.

Why does 𘎽 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
