What 𘐘 means
It means “to carve”; scholars reconstruct its Tangut reading as ku.
This gloss appears in two 12th-century Tangut dictionaries: Sea of Writing (11.152) and Homophones (A 28A27; B2 28B34). Introduced around 1036 for Western Xia, Tangut writing served government, Buddhist texts, and translations.
Tangut writing drew on Chinese writing but was a separate script. After Western Xia, it continued in religious and secular texts.
why is tangut 18418 named by a number?
It is a Unicode identity label, not a Tangut reading.

1Why does 𘐘 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
