What 𘒵 means
Documented Tangut sources gloss 𘒵 as “to press.” Its catalog label identifies the character; it does not translate the meaning.
Tangut writing was created around 1036 as part of state-building in Xixia (Western Xia); the state used it for government and Buddhist translations. A Tangut manuscript associated with Khara-Khoto probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. After the state fell, Tangut texts continued in Yuan and Ming works.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘒵 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
