What 𘓺 means
“Heaven” or “sky”; its reconstructed reading is written ŋwər.
Tangut writing was commissioned around 1036 by the first Western Xia emperor so the Tangut language could be written. It was used in official, private, and religious texts, continued through the Yuan and Ming dynasties, and became obsolete by the end of the Ming.
On Western Xia coins, 𘓺 corresponds to the Chinese character 天, “heaven.” It appears with 𘅝 in Tianqing, a reign name used 1194–1205.
What does it mean if someone sends 𘓺?
The character means “heaven” or “sky”; context supplies the sender’s reason.
For a message, add a gloss if the reader does not know Tangut. If it arrives alone, ask what historical text or reference the sender has in mind.
Historical and scholarly; opaque as an unexplained standalone message.
If you mean “heaven” or “sky,” include that gloss.
