What 𘗋 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “to curse.”
Li Fanwen’s 2008 dictionary assigns that gloss to entry 1808. The date refers to the dictionary, not the character’s origin.
The Tangut writing system served the Western Xia kingdom in official writing and Buddhist translations. 12th-century rhyme dictionaries—reference books that grouped characters by sound—also analyzed their structure; one was the Sea of Characters.
Did someone send me a curse?
Not by itself; look at the surrounding message.
The dictionary gloss names a meaning, not the sender’s aim. If the rest of the message is unreadable, ask what they intended before reading it as a personal curse.
Historical specialist writing; its hostile dictionary gloss makes it opaque in casual chat.
A dictionary gloss is not proof that someone is cursing you.

1Why does 𘗋 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
