What 𘙞 means
It describes waiting on or serving someone.
Li Fanwen’s Tangut–Chinese dictionary gives Chinese 侍 as its gloss.
Why was Tangut writing created?
The Western Xia state used Tangut writing for records.
The Song dynasty chronicle says Western Xia ruler Yuanhao had official Yeli Renrong systematize it; scholars date the script to 1036–37. The oldest surviving Tangut text is an official dispatch from 1072.
Tangut shapes draw on Chinese writing, but the script writes a separate language. It carried translated works; Buddhist texts continued under Mongol rule after the Xia fell in 1227.
Literal word; any modern tone comes from context.
Gloss it if you send it alone; the glyph does not show its meaning.
