What 𘚸 means
An English index to a Tangut dictionary glosses it as “fork.”
Created around 1036–1037 for Western Xia, the script’s earliest surviving example is an official document from 1072. It served state records, orders and translated books; Tangut Buddhist memorial inscriptions are dated 1502. Tangut sources connect its roots to Chinese writing, and scholars also consider Khitan influence. The dictionary gloss alone cannot tell you what a sender means by sending 𘚸 alone.
Why does 𘚸 show as a box?
Your font may lack Tangut coverage.
Fonts can draw its strokes differently without changing the character.
Historical and specialist; use it in Tangut text or clearly labeled study notes.

1Why does 𘚸 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
