What 𘛖 means

It is the Tangut verb for herding.

A dictionary reconstructs its Tangut reading in scholarly notation as źjɨr¹.

Tangut was created for the Western Xia kingdom about 1036 CE; Tangut studies identify an official document dated 1072 as its earliest transmitted example. Tangut writing served government, private writing, and Buddhist texts. The Khitan and Jurchen scripts, like Tangut, used Chinese-style character ideas, but each was separate. Tangut writing continued after 1227 and fell out of use by the end of China's Ming dynasty.
