What 𘜬 means
The recorded gloss is “bamboo.” A Unicode table links 𘜬 to L5202 in Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary; its English index glosses that entry as “bamboo.” That is a meaning, not a pronunciation.
Tangut, a language distinct from Chinese, had its own script, created by imperial decree. Similar-looking strokes do not make 𘜬 a Chinese character.
The Tangut script was used from 1036–1502. The Sea of Characters was a reference work from the mid-12th century; it explained Tangut signs through recurring parts. No standard chat reading is established as of 2026.
Historical writing; the dictionary gloss is a safer guide than an assumed chat tone.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘜬 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
