What 𘝊 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “to puzzle.”
Li Fanwen’s 2008 English index to his Tangut dictionary gives that gloss for 𘝊. The bilingual Liangzhou stele—a stone monument with an inscription—dates to 1094; a manuscript from Khara-Khoto probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. These dates document Tangut writing, not this character’s first appearance.
The Tangut script was created in 1036 under Li Yuanhao for the Western Xia (Xixia) state and a Buddhist canon. It later carried Buddhist, official, and secular texts, including translations from Chinese and Tibetan. It followed earlier Khitan script-making and borrowed Chinese visual principles, but remained a separate writing system.
Scholarly or archival in tone; without Tangut context, this reads as an unfamiliar historical glyph.
Chinese visual influence does not make this a Chinese character you can read as Chinese.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘝊 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
