What 𘝒 means
It means “to revolve” or “to turn” in Tangut.
Western Xia, a state in northwestern China, commissioned Tangut writing around 1036 for government and Buddhist texts. A Khara-Khoto manuscript from the 12th or early 13th century preserves a Tangut translation of Buddhist scripture.
Its design drew on Chinese writing and the Khitan script of another historical people in the region, but Tangut was a distinct system rather than a branch of Chinese. Use continued through at least an inscription dated 1502.
Scholarly and archival; suited to Tangut language, manuscript and script study.
