What 𘝞 means
The label points to a catalog entry, not a spoken Tangut word.
The Tangut script, also called the Xixia script, was created under Western Xia’s first emperor around 1036 CE to write Tangut, a Tibeto-Burman language.
After Western Xia fell to the Mongols, Tangut continued in the Yuan and Ming dynasties, becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. Rediscovered in the late 19th century, it was largely deciphered through scholar N. A. Nevskij’s work in the early 20th century. Its forms resemble Chinese, but the scripts are unrelated; 𘝞 is not a Chinese character.
