What 𘝥 means
Its dictionary gloss is “turbid,” especially of liquid. Here, turbid means cloudy because fine material is suspended in the liquid.
The Tangut script was commissioned in 1036 for Western Xia's official and cultural life, including government records and Buddhist translations. The state fell in 1227, but Tangut writing continued; the latest known example is dated 1502. The script's characters can look Chinese-like, but Tangut is a separate writing system. Possible influence from the Khitan script, another historical writing system, is debated.
Historical and linguistic: its “turbid” gloss is easiest to understand in the sentence around it.
The glyph alone does not reveal that the intended gloss is “turbid.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘝥 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
