What 𘝸 means
Its English dictionary gloss is “gorgeous,” not a full sentence translation.
An English index to a Tangut dictionary lists 𘝸 under “gorgeous.” Tangut writing was created around 1036 for Western Xia administration and Buddhist translation. Tangut books later covered law, religion, and secular subjects under the Yuan and Ming dynasties; the latest known inscription is dated 1502. Those dates describe the script’s history, not this character’s first appearance.
Why does 𘝸 resemble Chinese writing?
Tangut script reflects Chinese writing’s visual model but records a distinct language.

1Why does 𘝸 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
