What 𘟙 means
The script outlived Western Xia in print and inscriptions.
The Western Xia court established Tangut in 1036 for its language. The script served Buddhist texts and translations; a Tangut manuscript from Khara-Khoto probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. Printing continued after the state fell in 1227, and a Ming inscription dated 1502 still uses Tangut.
