What 󠅕 means
Only after a base character.
A Han character—a Chinese character used across East Asian writing—followed by a selector forms an Ideographic Variation Sequence. The Ideographic Variation Database (IVD) records the shapes each pair allows. Unsupported pairs leave the character unchanged and the selector invisible.
A 2004 Unicode proposal called for supplementary selectors to distinguish ideograph shapes without a separate character for each. IVD collections serve Japanese government records and Korea’s official hanja list (Chinese characters used in personal names).

Questions people ask
1Why does 󠅕 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Variation Selectors Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
