What 𞋍 means
It writes /f/ as a consonant in Wancho words.
In 2001, teacher Banwang Losu began developing the Wancho alphabet after Latin letters, the alphabet used for English, did not capture all the sounds and tones he needed for community notes. He completed the design in 2012, after first testing Latin and Devanagari forms and then drawing on Wancho cultural signs, objects, and practices. Wancho has also been written with Latin and Devanagari letters.
Wancho uses pitch, or tone, to distinguish words. Its dialects can differ in tone, so marks are placed over vowels; 𞋍 supplies the consonant /f/ and does not mark a word's tone.
