What 𞋥 means
The Wancho “ing” letter combines two sounds. “Ng” is the last sound in English “sing”; “i” is pronounced like “ee.”
Banwang Losu devised this independent alphabet between 2001 and 2012 because Latin letters missed some Wancho tones. His book, The Wancho Script, documented it in 2013. A 2024 reading primer teaches the alphabet; Wancho is also written in Latin or Devanagari, a script used for Hindi.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𞋥 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Wancho block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
