What 𞋡 means
A t followed by a voiceless r. Linguistic notation writes that sequence as tr̥; the small circle beneath r marks it as voiceless. Wancho spelling gives the whole sequence one letter.
When and why was the Wancho script made?
To represent Wancho sounds and preserve the language. Teacher Banwang Losu, working in Longding, developed the alphabet between 2001 and 2012. He first tried Latin spelling, but some tonal sounds had no equivalent. Its letterforms draw on local shapes—human postures, birds, trees, tattoos, rivers, fruits, and insects. Wancho is also written with Latin and Devanagari scripts, the latter used for Hindi and many other languages.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𞋡 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Wancho block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
