What 𐺡 means
It represents the m sound in Yezidi writing.
The script's early record centers on two handwritten religious works, thought to date to the 12th or 13th centuries and published in 1911. Their dating and authenticity are disputed, and Yezidi religious authorities do not treat their contents as authoritative sources of faith.
Why was the Yezidi script revived?
It was revived for prayers and community writing.
Historically, the script served religious texts. After a poorly documented gap, the Spiritual Council of Yezidis in Georgia revived and modernized the alphabet in 2013 for prayers, sacred books, letterhead, and community emblems.
Kurmanji can also be written in Latin, Cyrillic, or Arabic scripts, so 𐺡 identifies a writing-system choice rather than the language by itself.
Formal and script-specific; its presence marks a choice of Yezidi script.
