What ꓃ means
It marks a lookup group, not a word. Surviving paper Yi texts date to around 1500; earlier inscriptions are disputed. Older Yi scripts served religious, magical, medical, and genealogical writing. The standard for Liangshan Yi, a regional variety, was developed in 1974 and promulgated in 1980. Yi radicals follow the Chinese-character model: graphic labels used for dictionary lookup.
The name comes from the Yi syllable sign this radical most resembles; it names the filing category, not a word's meaning.
Specialized dictionary notation; unusual in ordinary messages.
Alone, it looks like a dictionary fragment; ask which entry it labels.
