What ꒐ means
It helps find Yi characters in dictionaries. A radical is a lookup mark based on a stroke shared by a group of characters.

The earliest surviving dated Yi inscription is on a bronze bell from 1485. The standardized Liangshan Yi script became a syllabary in 1974 (each sign represents a syllable) and was officially promulgated in 1980; it represents Liangshan, not every Yi variety.
