What ꎊ means
It marks a syllable in written Nuosu. “rru” is its Latin-letter spelling.
Bimo are Nuosu ritual specialists; their manuscripts served ceremonies and preserved epics and proverbs.
The Liangshan standard drew on older Northern Yi writing traditions. Work began in 1974 and the standard was promulgated in 1980; a bronze-bell inscription from 1485 is the earliest dated surviving example of Yi writing.
