What ꄰ means
It writes one syllable. In Nuosu Latin spelling, final t marks high tone, not a final consonant.
Nuosu bimo (ritual specialists) used Yi writing for ritual, medicine, genealogy, and literature. The earliest reliably dated evidence is a 15th-century bell inscription; paper and sheepskin texts date to around 1500. Claims of writing in China’s Western Han era are disputed. Devised in 1974 and promulgated in 1980, the Liangshan standard formalized one regional tradition as a syllabary; related Yi scripts differ in form and sound.

1Why does ꄰ show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
